Elm Park road closed until the new year

Upper Rainham Road is likely to be shut until Monday, 31 December due to a burst water main. 

The road is closed in both directions while water main work is carried out to fix the problem. 

According to Havering Council, it could last for 10 days.  

Upper Rainham Road currently closed between Elm Park Avenue and The Chase, which will force drivers to take alternate routes over the Christmas period. 

The road was flooded by a burst water main at around 5am on Friday, 21 December near The Chase nature reserve. Cars were seen driving through the flooded lane.
