Police evacuate Harold Hill bank following reports of a suspicious package

A suspicious package has been found inside a bank in Harold Hill. 

Police have evacuated the area and closed the building. 

A spokesperson confirmed officers are on the scene and waiting for specialists to examine the package. 

They received a report at 9.36am, calling them to the Santander branch in Farnham Road.

The road and surrounding shops were closed but have since been reopened.
