A seven-year-old girl from Rainham is donating 12 inches of her hair to make wigs for people with cancer.
Gracie Mae Middleton decided to make the sacrifice after a friend’s mum lost her hair when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Her mum, Ashlie Middleton, said: “Gracie started asking questions. She asked if kids could get cancer.
“Then she saw a video on YouTube from The Little Princess Trust – who she’s donating the hair to – and she asked if she could do it.”
Gracie has raised £700 in less than two weeks.
She told Time 107.5: “It makes me feel happy because, when I was younger, I used to love my hair but now I’m doing a really good thing donating it.”
She added that she won’t miss her hair too much as it will grow back.
