Gang of men arrested after teenager mugged at knife-point in South Ockendon

Four men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in South Ockendon. 

A 17-year-old boy was threatened with a knife by a group of men while walking down Rosemary Road at around 4.25pm yesterday (Sunday 20 January). 

They stole his mobile phone and cash while he was out with his friend.

Police have arrested an 18-year-old man from Grays and a 22 year-old man from South Ockendon on suspicion of robbery.

An 18 year-old man from London was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.

Officers also arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of Class A drugs, and possession of Class B or C drugs.

All four are currently in custody.
