Project is replacing Kosho, which closed earlier this year, following a three week refurbishment in South Street.
“You’ll see the differences the second you walk in,” said Nick Halle, Director of Project Essex.
“Everything has been changed; there’s a new lighting system, a new DJ system and the whole layout has been reshaped.
“It’s not just a lick of paint, it’s a full upgrade of the venue and it has a completely different feel.”
The club opened for the first time last night.
It will feature performances from Charlo, Danny Woodhouse, Sam Whitby and Tony Nicholls tonight between 9pm-3am.
Tomorrow, a secret event will take place which has yet to be revealed.
They’re keeping fan favourite events from the Kosho, such as LGBTQ+ night on Tuesdays with Dean Kayne.
Student night on Thursdays will also be making a return.
There will also be a variety of other themes throughout the week.
You can find out more at their website.
