Child hit by car in Barkingside

A child has been hit by a car in Barkingside, causing the High Street to be closed to traffic.

The collision happened near the Waverley Gardens junction at around 9.40am this morning.

It is not known how old the child is and how serious their injuries are.

Due to an incident at BARKINGSIDE HIGH STREET the following
roads are closed:

Barkingside high street between FULLWELL CROSS Round a bout
and BARON GARDENS.

We are trying to get the High St open as soon as possible,
please take an alternate route.
