Bella Sposa Bridal Boutique, in Corbets Tey Road, has won Best Bridalwear Shop 2019 in the third annual UK Enterprise Awards.
Cassandra Williams bought the store in July 2017 and says customer service has been the key to success.
“It’s the most important day of the bride’s life, you’re helping them all the way through it and from the moment they walk through the door you need to put them at ease.
“Not everyone is a size 10 or 12. The national average is 16 so I like my brides to come in and find a dress that actually fits them.”
Bella Sposa has dresses from various designers, including Justin Alexander, St. Patrick, and Mary’s Bridal.
Bride-to-be Rebecca Trimmer has been using the boutique to find the perfect dress for her.
“At most wedding shops I’ve gone to I haven’t felt confident but each time I come here I get a little bit of a boost which made me feel better leaving,” she said.
“I had a massive panic attack yesterday, because being a bride can be overwhelming, but Cassandra is always there at the end of the phone.
“I’ve had her email or Whatsapp me to say ‘I found this belt which probably looks a little bit better what do you think, how do you feel?’ I’ve always taken on the advice because it’s fantastic.”

Bella Sposa also signed up to the Blue Light Card initiative which offers a 10% discount to members of the UK’s emergency services and armed forces on purchases of a full-priced wedding dress.
It’s also available to TfL members.Tags: Havering, Upminster
