51-year-old Constantin Sin from Romania died in hospital following a vehicle collision in High Road in Leytonstone on 5 May at 12.40am.
Constantin was taken to a hospital in east London with another man, 32-years-old, who remains in hospital with serious injuries which are not life threatening.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Wrigley, from the Homicide and Major Crime Command [HMCC] who is leading the investigation said: “The investigation into Mr Sin’s murder continues apace with a number of live enquiries in hand. At this early stage, it is appears that this was a deliberate act by the driver of the car. There had been an altercation in the street prior to this incident and I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information who has not yet come forward, to contact detectives without delay.”
On 10 May a 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and is being questioned by police.
