Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of murder at Heathrow Airport later that day. He has been bailed to return to a police station.
Two other men in their 20s were taken into custody on suspicion of murder shortly after the shooting.
A 26-year-old has been released under investigation while a 21-year-old has been released with no further action.
Both of them suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and were treated at a nearby hospital.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course and formal identification of the victim awaits.
“We understand the victim and two other men had gone to the snooker club,” said Detective Chief Inspector, Mark Wrigley.
“The victim was then involved in an altercation with another group and a number of shots were fired.
“Now a man has lost his life, two others are injured and we need the community to support us and help bring those responsible to justice.”
