The London-bound track between Purfleet and Barking will be closed.
Transport for London is carrying out work which will lead to a new Barking Riverside station.
A restricted service will run from tomorrow until Sunday, 4 August.
“It’s a really important benefit for the region that will improve transport infrastructure,” said c2c spokesperson, Chris Atkinson.
“If you do have any flexibility, please take advantage of it. If you can say to your boss ‘I might need to travel in later, or work from home for the next two weeks’ that will help you and your fellow passengers because the trains we are running will be less busy.”
The London bound track between Purfleet and Barking will be closed throughout the period.
Services via Ockendon will only run towards London throughout the day, with no direct trains from London.
There will be a reduced service frequency and longer journey times on several routes at peak times.
Off-peak and weekend services are also expected to have an altered or reduced service.
Extra buses are being brought in to assist passengers and commuters.
You can view the replacement bus timetable here.
One third of the parking spaces at Upminster station will also be unavailable throughout the duration of the work.
Parking at other stations will be unaffected but more time might be needed due to the buses.Tags: Purfleet, Thurrock, Rainham, Barking, Upminster, c2c, Public Transport
