Man collapses, causing road closure near King George Hospital

His injuries are not life-threatening 

Roads outside King George Hospital have been closed after a man collapsed at a bus stop.

Emergency services treated the man after the incident in Barley Lane at around 10.25am this morning.

It is believed he fell and started bleeding as a result.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended.

“The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to an east London hospital.

“His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.”

Routes 173 362 396 and EL3 are not serving Goodmayes Hospital as the access road to the Hospital and bus stands/stops are blocked due to a Police incident.
