Car collides with pedestrian at bus stop near Dagenham East

A pedestrian has escaped with minor injuries after a car lost control and careened into a bus stop near Dagenham East station.

It happened at the Sandown Avenue bus stop in Rainham Road South just after 12.39am today.

Police say the pedestrian, a woman in her 20s, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening injuries.

The bus stop was also damaged.
