A number of gas cylinders exploded in the tyre workshop due to the heat, destroying a single storey unit in High Street North.

Around 15 people were evacuated from neighbouring properties as a precaution.
Ten fire engines attended the scene at 9.50pm and brought it under control by 11.20pm.
Fire crews from East Ham, Ilford, Stratford, Plaistow, Leytonstone, Barking and Poplar fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
