The event is free in the Romford Shopping Hall
Officers will mark the cycle with a unique reference number using a chemical compound and apply a semi tamper-proof sticker.
They will also take the frame number from the bike and record all information in a secure database held by BikeRegister.
There were 346 bicycle thefts in Havering in the year to June, down 10% from the previous year.
Redbridge saw a rise of more than 50% in thefts in that same period while Barking had a small increase of 4%.
Cyclists interested in the event can attend for free in the Romford Shopping Hall tomorrow from 11am to 2pm.
