Harold Hill man admits setting property on fire

Brandon Olley will be sentenced in November

A man from Harold Hill has pleaded guilty to deliberately starting a fire at a property in South Weald.

The property in Weald Road was set alight in February of this year.

Brandon Olley, 22, of Harrow Crescent, admitted arson and, separately, arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court yesterday.

He and a second man, Bradley Wright, 28, of Ardleigh, are due to be sentenced in November.

Wright was charged with the same offences as Olley, and also dishonestly receiving stolen goods and dangerous driving.
