Upminster nursery manager wins them third award for 2019

Ginny Andreas won Nursery World’s Manager of the Year Award 2019

A nursery in Upminster has won its third award of the year, thanks to the manager.

Little Adventurers manager, Ginny Andreas, won Nursery World’s Manager of the Year Award 2019 on Saturday.

The award ceremony took place at The Brewery in central London.

Alongside this success, it is also a Top 6 UK Finalist for Health and Wellbeing Nursery of the Year.

The family run company’s recognition stems from its work promoting healthy lifestyles to children.

Ginny said: “Having worked in the Early Years sector for over 30 years, I have had the privilege of working with some of the most eager and enquiring minds, in both young children and adults who share my passion for offering a rich and nurturing childhood to our youngest children.

“I count myself truly lucky to have found my vocation in life and to have the privilege of influencing the lives of many children in some small but significant way.”

The company has won a string of awards since it opened in 2015.

One of its more recent achievements includes becoming the first establishment in Havering and across outer London to have achieved a GOLD Healthy Early Years London Award. 

Councillor Robert Benham, Havering’s Cabinet Member for Education, Children and Families, said: “This is a fantastic accolade and demonstrates Ginny’s dedication to leading a first class nursery.

“The Council is committed to giving every child a healthy start and has worked closely with Little Adventurers for many years to support their work, particularly the tooth brushing programme designed to tackle childhood tooth decay at an early age.”
