A118 Main Road closed eastbound in Romford after accident

The A118 Main Road is closed heading eastbound due to a serious accident in Romford. 

It happened between the A1251 Mercury Gardens and the A127 Southend Arterial Road. 

Traffic heading out of town towards the M25 is being affected. 

Bus routes 174, 347 and 498 are also being diverted. 

The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for more information.
