Geoff Moss will be auctioning his artwork to raise money for the charity
Geoff Moss’s most recent work includes a model of a poppy in a glass container, inspired by the porcelain poppies at the Tower of London.
It’s hand painted and made using old Diet Coke cans and electrical wire.
His other creations include two recently completed pictures, a wreath and a lone soldier model.
The ex-designer has family members who fought in the first world war, second world war and a nephew who’s currently serving.
Geoff told Time 107.5: “It’s a real shame that you hear a lot of ex service men and women, who go out there and fight for their country and then when they come back, they’re in a terrible state.
“They can’t get work, they have post traumatic stress disorder.
“They do a great job for us so it’s nice to give something back.”
The model of the poppy is being auctioned at the Royal British Legion in Collier Row. Bid’s are also being taken over the phone.
