Two undercover police cadets were allowed to use gambling devices without being asked for proof of age by nearby staff in The George pub in Wanstead High Street.
Plain clothed officers witnessed them spending up to £3 on the machines on both occasions.
The establishment has lost its right to have gaming machines which require £1 to play and pay out at most £100.
It is run by J D Wetherspoon, which had its permits rescinded by the council on Tuesday, 19 November.
“Businesses with permits to operate betting machines have a legal obligation to protect children and other vulnerable people from being harmed or exploited by gambling,” said Sue Harper, the council’s Corporate Director for Place.
“At Redbridge, we put the welfare of our children at the heart of everything we do and won’t be afraid to use the full weight of the law against businesses in the borough that fail in their legal obligations to safeguard young people.”Tags: Redbridge, Wanstead
