The 37-year-old from Hornchurch was being restrained at Top Meadow Golf Club in Fen Lane just before 11pm on Saturday, 7 December.
He collapsed a short while later and was rushed to hospital.
Sadly, he died in hospital yesterday.
Four men have been charged with GBH in connection with his death.
They are:
Gaetano Schembri, 24, of Buxton Road, Grays.
Melchione Schembri, 58, of Highfield Gardens, Grays.
Paulo Pinto, 50, of Braxted Road, Witham.
Shkelzen Mataj, 39, of Tomlinson Avenue, Luton.
All four were arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH.
They were charged on Monday, 9 December and kept in custody to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court today.
The victim is yet to be formally identified, but his family has been informed.
A post-mortem will take place in due course.
