Man charged following Hainault fight

Fernando Brito appeared in court yesterday

A man has been charged following a fight in Hainault in which a man sustained knife wounds.

Fernando Brito, 42, is accused of possessing an offensive weapon, following the incident in New North Road at around 5.45pm on Sunday, 16 February.

Brito, who’s registered address is on that road, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

He will next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday, 18 March.

Police say a man who was taken to hospital following the incident is now in a stable condition.
