The National League match is taking place at the Chigwell Construction Stadium
Daggers Celebrate Diversity is being held tomorrow as they take on Solihull Moors at home in the National League.
In the past, the club has held Daggers Against Racism days, but this year sees things changing.
The previous iteration of the day ran from 2010-19 but the club is rebranding the event for the new decade, as it says Barking and Dagenham “has become a much more diverse and tolerant society.”
There will be a host of activities and stalls at tomorrow’s match at the Chigwell Construction Stadium in Victoria Road, Dagenham.
The match is being sponsored by local business BD Group, which is based on an industrial park right next to the stadium.
The company’s chief executive, Tony Barry MBE, told Time 107.5: “We are delighted to be involved in this, it’s a great occasion that Daggers run once a year.
“Diversity is a very big thing in this borough. It’s a big thing for the council and therefore a big thing for us as a major employer so absolutely it’s something we’re 100 per cent behind.”
BD Group, which provides catering and cleaning services to all of the schools across the borough, has been given a large ticket allocation as part of the sponsorship package and these have been distributed to children across the borough.
