Doctors, nurses and other staff are working long unsociable hours to provide the best care for their patients during the coronavirus outbreak.
The charity is delivering food and drink to them as many simply do not have time to do their own shopping.
“This support is critical for staff’s mental health and wellbeing,” a spokesperson for the charity said.
“It is important for them to know they are not alone and they can rely on us and the local communities to support them at this difficult time.”
King George and Queen’s Hospital Charity has received donations from many supporters, including Kingsmill Bakery, Davin Foods and Redbridge College.
Here is a full list: Nandos, Hills Prospect, the Co-op, Costa, Moto Hospitality, The Cake Box, Salim Caterers, Hot & Tasty, Patinos, Pizza Hut, TK Maxx, Jaspir Singh and Starbuck.
Many others are reportedly contacting the charity every day.
