Review finds “chances were missed” to protect 14-year-old stabbed to death in Leyton

It has been concluded that chances were missed to protect a 14-year-old boy, who was stabbed to death in Leyton.

A serious case review has found Jaden Moodie was groomed by drug dealers and there should have been better communication between different agencies.

Waltham Forest Council has accepted all of the recommendations.

Jaden was riding a moped in Bickley Road when he was hit head on by a car, before four occupants got out and stabbed him in January 2019.

The gang then got back in the car and fled, leaving Jaden bleeding to death in the street.

A jury at the Old Bailey found Ayoub Majdouline guilty of murder and possession of an offensive weapon in December last year.
