The Rainham and Beam Park Regeneration LLP is a joint venture partnership between Havering Council and Notting Hill Genesis.
They are planning to build 160 new homes in the industrial area of Beam Park, along the A1306. The scheme would reportedly provide affordable and family homes for Havering residents along with green space and access to public transport.
It would also mean the Silver Hall Social Club would need to be relocated to another facility.
This is only phase one of the project and a further six sites in Rainham have been earmarked for development.
“I am particularly thrilled that, after extensive talks with the Silver Hall Social Club, we have been able to propose new accommodation and facilities for the local community,” said the Leader of Havering Council, Councillor Damian White.
“Havering residents remain at the heart of everything we do so it’s always good to hear directly from local people and businesses and I welcome your comments and suggestions on how to shape these proposals.”
An online public consultation has been launched and will run until Friday, 3 July. Residents can find more information here.
If you are not able to access the online consultation but would still like to view the proposals and provide feedback, residents can call 07468 437150.
