Man charged after assaults in South Ockendon

Police were called to the incident on Saturday morning

A man has been charged in South Ockendon following assaults which left a man in hospital.

Police were called to an altercation early Saturday morning inside a buiding in Darenth Lane. 

John Morgan, 30, of no fixed address, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and causing actual bodily harm.

A man was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.

He remains in a stable condition.

A woman also suffered swelling to the face.

John Morgan was due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
