Armed officers, investigating suspected terrorism offences, raided an address in Green Lane and another in east London at around 1.40pm on Thursday, 9 July.
No shots were fired although loud bangs were heard in the area at the time.
Two men and a teenager were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism, under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
A 32-year-old man was also detained on suspicion of terrorism offences following a police raid in Leicestershire on the same day.
Warrants to detain the three adults until Thursday, 16 July were granted last week.
A separate one to detain the 17-year-old was due to expire today, however, officers have been granted a second warrant of further detention which will let them keep him until Friday, 17 July.
Officers have now completed searches at four addresses in east and south London and two in Leicestershire.
