The man, aged in his 50s, passed away after the collision in Dagenham Road, near Rainham Road South, at around 3.10pm today.
A police spokesperson told Time 107.5FM: “Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene a short time later.
“Any witnesses or anyone with any dashcam footage is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 5050/25Jul.”
It is believed he was part of a funeral procession involving dozens of bikers.
His family have been informed.

Rainham Road South and Dagenham Road are both closed as a result of the collision.
