The new scheme starts today
Eat Out to Help Out gives customers 50% off their food bill, up to a £10 discount, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays throughout August.
More than 72,000 restaurants have signed up to the scheme.
Non-alcoholic drinks are also available with a discount as part of the deal.
The savings are automatically applied to your bill, with the establishment then able to claim a reimbursement from the government.
An online tool has been launched to help people find out which eateries are taking part in the East Out to Help Out scheme.
Some chain restaurants are taking part but are not on this list.
