The crash happened in Rush Green Road shortly after 2pm today.
A woman, aged in her 70s, and a man were taken to hospital “as a precaution,” a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said, adding that “their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.”
Robert Benham, the Deputy Leader of Havering Council, Tweeted his thanks to staff from West Ham United, who helped direct traffic in the aftermath of the incident.

The road has since reopened, but the vehicles involved and emergency services are still there and traffic is moving very slowly in the area.
