A teenage cyclist was struck by a vehicle in Briar Road, at the junction with Harebell Way, shortly before 9pm on Saturday, 15 August.
Paramedics treated the boy for head, shoulder, and leg injuries at the scene before an air ambulance took him to a major trauma centre.
His condition has now been assessed as not life-threatening.
The vehicle involved in the collision did not stop at the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference CAD7777/15 August.
