Essex Fire Brigade are currently attending addresses in the area after receiving several calls this morning.
Roads currently reported as being flooded are High Road, Roding Road, Roding Lane and Forest Road.

Debden Lane, Willingale Road and Valley Hill are also in the process of being closed.

On Twitter, Essex Fire Service said: “We can only attend your address if it is a life-risk emergency, please don’t call 999 unless there is an immediate danger to life.
“Instead isolate all electrics. Try to block water with sandbags or towels.”

Police are advising drivers not to ignore the closures.
Some drivers have reportedly become stranded after trying to drive through the flooded roads.
Earlier, Loughton Underground Station was closed due to the flooding.
