Essex Police were called to Dunlop Road car park around 8pm on Saturday night.
The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for facial fractures.
The man he was assaulted by has been described to us as being Asian, in his early 20s, around 5ft 10ins tall, slim, with shoulder-length black hair which has blonde streaks in it.
Any witnesses or anyone with any CCTV or dash cam footage, are advised to call police on 101 quoting the crime reference number 42/132140/20.
