A factory fire in South Woodford is believed to have been caused by ‘hot embers from the incinerator.’

London Fire Brigade were called to the factory of a loft room staircase company, on Raven Road, at 1.30am on Sunday morning.

Fire crews from Woodford, Leytonstone, Walthamstow, Chingford, Hainault, Ilford and Stratford fire stations attended the scene.

It’s believed the hot embers from the incinerator ignited the paladin bins containing timber and sawdust.

The Brigade had the fire under control in an hour and a half.

A significant part of the two storey property was damaged by the blaze.
