The man from South Ockendon was arrested after crash last October, for multiple offences, including drink/drug driving and having no insurance.
Other offences included possession of class B drugs, having a provisional driving licence and TWOC.
The vehicle collided with kerbs, a traffic island, fencing, and a lamp post.
He pleaded guilty at Basildon Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday, 7 September).

In addition to the compensation, he’s been handed a 16-month ban from driving and ordered to complete 100 hours unpaid work.
