A car and a motorcyclist collided at Gallows Corner at around 9.40pm on Thursday, 10 September.
The motorcyclist, 53, from Essex, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Police arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in custody.
Officers from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or the moments before.
