Police were called too the gathering at an industrial estate, off Weston Avenue near Lakeside, at around 8.15pm on Tuesday, 8 September.
The car meet was held in an area that falls within a public spaces protection order.
This order looks to tackle car cruising, dangerous driving and any associated anti-social behaviour in and around the Lakeside area.
Following the incident, James Simmons, of Limes Avenue, Chigwell, has been charged with obstructing a constable in the execution of duty and failing to comply with a public spaces protection order.
He’s due in Southend Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 4 January.
