Four people arrested over Dagenham car park death

John died following a collision in a car park last Sunday

Two men and two women have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in a car park in Dagenham.

John Avers, 47, passed away after he was struck by a car off of Whalebone Lane South just before midnight on Sunday, 13 September.

A post-mortem examination found that he had died from multiple injuries.

A man and two women were detained during a vehicle stop on the A2 in Gravesend, Kent, at around 11.30pm yesterday (Friday, 18 September).

The man was arrested on suspicion of murder, while the two women were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. 

Today (Saturday, 19 September), a second man, aged 58, was arrested in Southend on suspicion of murder. 

Investigators are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
