Local police officer sacked for threatening ex and her family

A misconduct hearing concluded today with the officer being dismissed

A police officer based in east London has been sacked for threatening his ex-partner and her family.

PC Sam Wiltshire, of the East Area BCU, which covers Barking and Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge, sent texts to his the woman and her family threatening violence against them.

He also sent messages which were grossly offensive or indecent.

A hearing was held by the Met Police and concluded today, finding that PC Wiltshire had breached the standards of professional behaviour in relation to authority, respect and courtesy and discreditable conduct.

The matters were found to amount to gross misconduct and he was dismissed without notice.
