The tragic incident happened at Upminster Station yesterday evening
The incident happened just before 8.30pm yesterday evening, with emergency services being called to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson told Time 107.5FM: “We sent an ambulance crew, two medics in cars, an incident response officer, and an advanced paramedic.
“Sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
A spokesperson from British Transport Police added: “The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Some trains were unable to stop at the station last night while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Due to an incident at Upminster emergency services have requested no services stop at Upminster station, sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Lines began to reopen at around 10pm.
