Man charged following sexual assaults in Central Park in Dagenham

A man has been charged with two sexual assaults that occurred in Central Park, Dagenham.

Ioan Serban appeared at Barkingside Magistrates Court yesterday, having been charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

The 52-year-old, who lives in Dagenham, was arrested on Monday, 5 October and charged the next day, following an investigation into two reported incidents on Monday, 14 September, and Monday, 21 September.

Following his court appearance yesterday, Serban was remanded in custody to appear in court on a date and venue to be scheduled in due course.
