Man to appear in court after cross removed from Chadwell Heath church

A man is to appear in court tomorrow, accused of removing a cross from a church in Chadwell Heath.

The 19-year-old has been charged with religiously aggravated criminal damage, following the incident at the Baptist Church in High Road yesterday afternoon.

He has been remanded in custody, ahead of an appearance at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
