Seven Kings killer jailed for 12 years over fatal stabbing

Jean Marc Dable was sentenced today

A man has been sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment following a fatal stabbing after a rave in Seven Kings.

Jean Marc Dable was jailed today after pleading guilty to killing Dylon Barnes in Telegraph Mews in November 2019.

Dable, 25, admitted manslaughter at the Old Bailey on Friday, 6 November.

Detective Inspector Adam Callaghan, said: “Homicide teams across the Met work relentlessly to achieve justice for victims. This is what motivates us and as always, our team’s thoughts and sympathies remain with Dylon’s family who continue to grieve for their lost son.

“Dable will now be prevented from carrying out violence against any kind and the streets of London are all the safer without him. He will have a number of years to seriously reflect on the decisions he made that night which resulted Dylon’s life coming to such a brutal end.”

Dylon Barnes was stabbed to death last November

Dylon, 26, and his friends were leaving the rave at around 6am on Sunday, 24 November 2019 when a disagreement started between them and members of another group.

He was attempting to de-escalate the situation when Jean Marc Dable lunged at him with a knife.

Emergency services found Dylon a short while later in Ilford Lane. He was rushed to hospital but passed away that afternoon.

Dable was arrested and admitted to police that he regularly carried a knife, often concealing it between his buttocks.
