The collision happened in Havering Road yesterday morning (Sunday, 3 January) just before 4am.
Emergency Services attended and found two men with injuries.
A 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The second man, 25, was taken to an east London hospital. The Met Police are awaiting an update on his condition.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to come foward.
