Appeal to find man who attacked staff members in Ilford supermarket

Police are appealing for help in finding a man who assaulted staff members in a supermarket, in Ilford.

A CCTV image has been issued of the suspect who attacked three members of staff and a security guard, in a shop in Cranbrook Road, on Sunday, 13 December last year.

Between 2pm and 2.15pm, the man stole four bottles of champagne and was on his way out of the shop when he made the attacks.

One staff member was stabbed and another suffered from a broken nose.

DC Mohammed Abdullah, from the Met’s East area command unit said: “The CCTV images of the suspect are very clear and I would like help in identifying this man.

“The vicious and unprovoked attacked has had a profound impact on members of staff at the shop and shocked the local community.”
