Joseph Meade Jnr would often take drugs, harass residents and shoplift in Digby Gardens and the surrounding area.
The local council teamed up with police to conduct regular patrols and gather evidence which was then presented at court.
Mr Meade was issued with a Community Protection Warning and Community Protection Notice which banned him from being in groups of three or more. He was also prohibited from visiting two addresses in Digby Gardens.
Police and the council also applied for a Criminal Behaviour Order which gave officers the power to arrest Mr Meade if he ever returned to the neighbourhood.
However, he was spotted going back to the area on Thursday, 14 January and arrested.
Officers charged him with breaching his Criminal Behaviour Order and he was recalled to prison.
“We take reports of anti-social behaviour and criminality very seriously and anybody found guilty, will be dealt with robust enforcement and criminal justice,” said Councillor Margaret Mullane.
“I hope this result will bring a bit of relief and peace to the residents of Digby Gardens.”
