The suspected drug dealer ran from the vehicle at around 5.50pm on Friday, 19 February.
PD Hugo was deployed to help search through open gardens and the man was discovered hiding in a service road behind a garage.
Officers arrested the man on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon.

Later that night, two men were seen running away after an assault in Redbridge.
PD Nahla was called in to search through gardens and she located one of the suspects. She also found a CS spray believed to have been discarded by him.
Meanwhile, PD Ziggy and PD Sky helped find the second man who was hiding on a garage roof.
Both men were arrested for GBH and firearms offences.

“It is their training and abilities that helps find the evasive suspect or locate the hidden evidence.
“Time and time again those guilty of serious offences are brought to justice because of the partnership between our officers and their dogs; both make an outstanding contribution to keeping London safe.”
