Councillor Darren Rodwell was asked to complete two workout videos by the borough’s Young Mayor, Jessica Soares Paim.
It is to support her chosen charity, Refuge, which helps victims of domestic abuse by providing independent advocacy and empowerment services.

Barking and Dagenham has had the highest police-reported rate of domestic abuse in London for the last ten years.
A school survey also found 26 per cent of year 10 to year 12 students in Barking thought it was acceptable to hit their partner in 2019.
A statement on the Young Mayor’s Just Giving page reads: “Being stuck with your perpetrator is the unfortunate reality for many right now , due to Covid-19.
“Just as you are reading this, there is someone in need of support, advice, provisions – to help overcome their daily anguish.
“Each week 2 women lose their lives due to domestic abuse, and 1 in 4 will experience abuse in their lifetimes.
“Help lower these frightening statistics.”
