Two men, aged 18, and three males, aged 17 and 15, were detained on suspicion of murder this morning. They remain in custody at an east London police station.
It is after Bubacar Jabbie Dukureh was attacked in Westbury Road at around 9.20pm on Friday, 23 October, 2020.
The 17-year-old was treated by paramedics but despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination gave his cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.
“This was a senseless and violent attack on a teenager on the streets of London,” said Detective Inspector Joanna Yorke.
“Our team has been working hard to establish the full circumstances around the incident and this is a significant update in the investigation.”
