Man charged in connection with attempted murder investigation in Brentwood

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a serious collision in Brentwood High Street, in 2017.

Three people were involved in a collision with a vehicle outside The Sugar Hut, at about 3.10am on Sunday, 2 April 2017.

They were all taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Martin Stokes, 27, of no fixed address, was arrested in London on Saturday, 10 April.

He’s been charged with attempted murder, two counts of ABH, dangerous driving and violent disorder.

Stokes will appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court today.
